  4. Ursula was not far from the truth; the tea pot resembles an eggplant.

    1. I am never far from the truth, Duta. To grab the truth, any truth, by its apron strings without strangling myself in the process is the art I am still trying to perfect.

You'd make a good defense lawyer and/or optician (both of them tend to be bearers of bad news but do not let that dishearten you).

    2. @ DUTA (and possibly Ursula) - this is NOT a picture of the teapot in John's previous post. This is a completely different teapot!

    2. Please don't complicate things, Jinx. I believe Rachel's Burka girls won. A truly inspired entry - one John initially refused to give air space to. As I would have done. A bit of peace never going amiss.

The irony being, and please take note, that everyone thought they were chiseled out of aubergines. Not so - courgettes.

      Purple greetings,

  7. You could make it up, otherwise it would never have been made.

I can see it on Antiques Roadshow:
"As fine an example of Staffordshire weird ware as I have ever seen!! Circa 1916, in the neo-odd veggie style championed by the Trelawnyd flower show school."

  17. Now I have a childhood song stuck in my brain,
"I'm a little tea pot short and stout,
here is my handle, here is my spout."
    Very pretty piece

    1. Gosh, how do I say this without being bitchy...she is someone who takes great delight in apparently taunting the comments page on any given day. I always get the feeling that she is tut tutting her way around the comments trying to bestow her virtue on the "idiot" commentator of the day. I can't decide if she is just a bitch or someone a bit thin on tact and just wants to goad.
